4 Killed, 30 Wounded in Mass Shootings

(RightIsRight.co) – In another weekend of deadly violence in the United States, at least four Americans were killed and 30 wounded in mass shootings across the country.

And, as crime spirals higher in the U.S., that is just the carnage from mass shootings, not all the other shootings involving a smaller number of victims.

As The Hill recounts in “Thirty injured, four killed in mass shootings over the weekend“:

“At least 30 people were injured and four killed in a spate of mass shootings across the country this weekend, following a shooting in North Carolina that left five dead on Thursday.

“The Gun Violence Archive reported six mass shootings, defined as an incident in which four or more people are shot, from New York to Colorado on Saturday and Sunday.” [emphasis added]

The mass shootings included:

  • Harrisonburg, Virginia: Eight people were shot early Sunday morning after an unknown assailant or assailants opened fire at a crowd during an outdoor gathering.
  • Atlanta, Georgia: Four were injured after gunfire erupted around midnight on Sunday at Clark Atlanta University as students gathered for homecoming weekend.
  • Denver, Colorado: Seven were injured and one dead after a Saturday night shooting at a house party.
  • Worcester, Massachusetts: Six people were injured on Saturday.
  • Freeport, New York: Four were injured on Saturday.
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Three people were killed and one injured on Saturday.
