President Biden for the first time publicly spoke about his granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts, who is his son’s Hunter Biden’s estranged daughter following the end of a recent child support case.
In a statement provided to Fox News Digital, President Biden acknowledged that Hunter Biden along with the child’s mother, Lunden, were trying to find a way to create a relationship of cooperation that is going to benefit their daughter. He added that they are hoping to preserve Roberts’ privacy as they navigate this situation.
As he pointed out, this is not a political case, but rather a family one. For this reason, he and his wife Jill Biden were only looking to do what would be best for all of their grandchildren, including Navy Joan Roberts.
This is the first time either President Biden or Jill Biden have acknowledged the existence of Hunter Biden’s daughter, and in the past, they had frequently claimed to have “four granddaughters” excluding the young girl. In December 2022, for the second consecutive Christmas, Navy was also not included in the Christmas stocking Display.
In 2020, President Biden had incorrectly stated that they only had five grandchildren, which did not only leave the Navy out but also excluded newborn-at-the-time Beau Biden. A similar claim was repeated by Biden in April during a take your child to Work day at the White House where he had claimed to only have six grandchildren instead of seven. At the time he had claimed that he spoke to all his grandchildren every day.
