Biden Slams Trump

( – Slamming him over their own perceptions of what he said, Joe Biden’s campaign distorted former President Donald Trump’s remarks about the upcoming presidential election’s results.

Biden’s team doubled down on their allegations and accused Trump of posing a “danger to the Constitution and a threat to our democracy” for allegedly refusing to say he would accept the election results.

In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Trump stated, “If everything’s honest, I’ll gladly accept the results. I don’t change on that. If it’s not, you have to fight for the right of the country.”

Reacting to Trump’s comments, Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer released a statement criticizing Trump: “President Biden has said, ‘You can’t love your country only when you win.’ But for Donald Trump, his campaign for revenge and retribution reigns supreme.”

During a press interaction, ABC News’ Karen Travers asked Biden if he was concerned about Trump not accepting the election results, to which Biden said “listen to what he says.”

This controversy comes after Trump told TIME Magazine that the outcome of the 2024 election could influence political violence.

“I don’t think we’re going to have that. I think we’re going to win,” Trump said. “And if we don’t win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election.”

Amid his campaign, Trump has repeatedly raised doubts about the upcoming election’s integrity , since his ongoing legal issues are a form of “election interference.”

He has criticized early-voting methods such as mail-in voting, as Democrats have taken advantage of it to increase their chances.

In response, the Republican National Committee has been trying to get more Republican voters to use these methods to even the odds.

In rallies in Wisconsin and Michigan, Trump said the GOP would make sure the campaign remained fair. “No matter how you vote, whether it’s early, on election day, by mail or in person, it doesn’t matter, we’ll make sure your ballot is secure,” Trump added.

However, Trump’s allegations reflect the distrust felt among his followers concerning the integrity of the 2024 election system.

At his rally, attendees revealed they were skeptical about the election process. Attendee Don Barnard from Michigan doubted the 2020 results but admitted he had no evidence to support his beliefs.
