Biden Tries to Defend THIS Illegal Immigration Failure

(RightIsRight.co) – President Joe Biden declared he wouldn’t visit the Southern Border despite the illegal immigration crisis because he has “more important things” to deal with.

Biden spoke briefly to reporters at the White House on Tuesday as he was about to leave for Phoenix, Arizona, for an investment announcement of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

“There are more important things going on,” Biden declared, as cited by The Washington Examiner, when asked why he wouldn’t go to the US-Mexican border.

“They’re going to invest billions of dollars in the new enterprise in the state,” the Democrat president added.

Close to 6 million illegal immigrants have entered the United States since Joe Biden became president nearly two years ago, according to Customs and Border Patrol data and estimates.

That includes over 1 million gotaways, among some 2.3 million newly arrived illegal aliens remaining inside the US.

Neither Biden nor his vice president and “point person” on the border migrant crisis, Kamala Harris, have been to the actual border since they took office.

Nonetheless, his press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre falsely alleged the opposite last week.

“He’s been there. He’s been to the border. And since he took office,” she claimed.

Her false claim after House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the most likely next Speaker of the House of Representatives, invited the president to visit the US-Mexican border together with him.

Earlier this week, Jean-Pierre again told reporters that Biden was not going to the border and accused the Republicans of “doing political stunts” while unable to offer any “real” solutions to the migrant crisis.

“Let’s have a bipartisan agreement on immigration, instead of doing political stunts, instead of doing what they’re doing: going to the border, not actually coming up with any real ideas about that,” Biden’s press secretary told White House reporters during her daily briefing.

“He’s going to go to Arizona to talk about an important initiative that will change Americans’ lives, specifically in Arizona. He’s [Biden] going to focus on an issue, a bipartisan issue that was voted in Congress, the CHIPS and Science Act,” Jean-Pierre elaborated.

She argued that the GOP should be negotiating with Biden on granting amnesty to illegal immigrants if it wanted border security.

“If they truly want to deal with the border, then they would stop doing political stunts and actually work with us on the plan that we have put forward, which they are not,” Biden’s top press officer said of Democrat ideas to reward trespassers of the US borders by giving them legal status.
