(RightIsRight.co) – Joe Biden is now panicking because he has seen the polls that show how angry Americans are about the skyrocketing price of gasoline and all other forms of energy.
So, now Biden has just done his biggest flip-flop and is commanding the oil and gas industry to drill, drill, drill.
How things have changed. Still, Biden is using the stick instead of the carrot approach.
As Breitbart points out in “Drill, Baby, Drill: Joe Biden Urges Oil Companies to Produce More Oil and ‘Double Down’ on Clean Energy“:
“President Joe Biden delivered another speech about his attempt to reduce the high cost of gas, as prices continue to rise despite his promise to ‘work like to the devil’ to bring them down.
“Biden urged oil companies to start producing more oil, threatening to punish them if they did not respond.
“The president accused oil companies of ‘hoarding’ federal oil leases, announcing a new ‘use it or lose it’ plan, where he would charge companies more fees if they failed to develop their oil leases on federal land or even take them away.” [emphasis added]
So, while Biden wants the oil and gas industry to produce more, he threatens the sector instead of offering incentives and getting regulators out of the way.
Not an intelligent approach.
