A report about Hunter Biden traveling to a hearing by private jet sparked a conservative backlash on social media.
President Joe Biden’s son is currently embroiled in a lawsuit where he is seeking to reduce the monthly child support he pays to Lunden Roberts.
Roberts previously worked for the President’s son in Washington, D.C., and gave birth to a daughter in 2018, whom DNA tests later proved to be Hunter’s.
Hunter Biden has yet to meet the child he fathered, Navy Roberts, and currently pays $20,000 a month in child support and has paid $750,000 overall.
On Saturday (May 20), the New York Post released a report claiming to have looked at the flight data of the private jet that the President’s son allegedly took to Arkansas for a court hearing in late April.
The $6 million jet reportedly belongs to the younger Biden’s close friend and legal advisor, Kevin Morris.
Although he argued in court that he should be allowed to pay less child support to Roberts because of his financial hardship, records show the flight cost between $55,000 and $117,000.
The flight took Biden from Washington, D.C., to an airport in Jackson County, Arkansas, and then back to Washington after the hearing, a total of 7,326 miles.
The newspaper’s report sparked outrage from conservatives on social media.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, compared the exorbitant airfare to Hunter Biden’s living wage.
Kirk noted the irony in Biden flying to a child support hearing with a private jet while claiming “he was too poor to make the monthly payments,” adding that the flight alone was equivalent to “at least 6 months of child support.”
