He shared, “Horrible news in Washington County tonight. It appears that Judge Andrew Wilkinson was shot multiple times and has passed away,” on his Twitter account. He further added, “Police are diligently trying to find the person responsible. Let’s all pray for the police’s efforts and also for Judge Wilkinson’s grieving family.”

In response to this tragic event, Maryland’s state troopers are now stationed at the residences of other judges as a precautionary measure.
