Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney

( – BREAKING NOW: In a move that has Republicans, conservatives, and, most especially, supporters of President Donald J. Trump cheering, the Republican Party of Wyoming has given notorious Congresswoman Liz Cheney the boot.

Specifically, the Wyoming GOP has voted to no longer recognize Cheney as a Republican even though she has always registered and run as a Republican and even though she is the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. Her constant opposition to Trump has worn thin with the Wyoming Republican faithful, and her political bona fides are no longer enough to keep her in good standing with her party in her home state.

As Blaze Media noted, “Cheney has been one of the most outspoken critics of former President Donald Trump. She was among the 10 Republican members of Congress who voted to impeach Trump the second time when Democrats brought up charges of inciting an insurrection on Jan. 6.”

Further, in an act that angered Republican members of Congress, she willingly accepted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s invitation to sit on the House Select Committee investigating the protests that took place at the United States Capitol on Jan. 6. And, once on the committee, she accepted a leadership position and has continued to be outspoken in her attacks on Trump and members of his presidential administration.

In response to the Wyoming GOP’s vote to no longer recognize her as a Republican, Cheney’s mouthpiece stated, “She is bound by her oath to the Constitution. Sadly a portion of the Wyoming GOP leadership has abandoned that fundamental principle and instead allowed themselves to be held hostage to the lies of a dangerous and irrational man.”
