(RightIsRight.co) – During a speech earlier today, President Joe Biden used a racial slur to describe one of the greatest baseball players of all time, Satchel Paige.
You can watch the video below as Biden says, “You know I’ve adopted the attitude of the great Negro at the time, pitcher in the Negro Leagues went on to become a great pitcher in the pros, in Major League Baseball after Jackie Robinson. His name was Satchel Paige.”
Actually, there are two issues with what Biden – who holds himself out as both a great liberal and a great sports fan – said in those two short sentences.
First, the “Negro Leagues” Biden references were, in fact, professional baseball leagues. Not a step below the “pros,” as Biden seems to believe when he says that Paige “went on to become a great pitcher in the pros, Major League Baseball…”
Now for the much larger problem.
The problem that has cost Whites their jobs and social standing all across the United States since the 1970s – the use of the word “Negro” to reference a Black person.
One need go no further than the Merriam-Webster Dictionary to find the definition of “Negro” – the meaning that has been accepted since before Joe Biden entered the United States Senate in 1973.
Definition of Negro 1) dated, often offensive: a person of Black African ancestry 2) dated, often offensive: a member of a group of people formerly considered to constitute a race of humans having African ancestry and classified according to physical traits (such as dark skin pigmentation). –Merriam-Webster Dictionary
Many liberals and socialists who support Biden have immediately jumped to his defense today, pointing out that men and women of Biden’s age should be forgiven for using antiquated terms that, while once accepted, are now considered offensive slurs.
But, as one conservative commentator stated, “Imagine if Trump said the same thing during a speech. The mainstream media would eat him alive while branding him a racist.”
Here’s the video.

What do you think? Should Biden get a pass for using the word “Negro”? Would Trump get a pass from the mainstream media if he did the same thing?
