(RightIsRight.co) – BREAKING NOW: Paul Pelosi, the billionaire husband of United States House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a car crash he was involved in and has been sentenced to five days in jail.
However, it is unclear if he will spend even one moment in jail.
As the Daily Caller notes in “Paul Pelosi Pleads Guilty To DUI, Sentencing Includes 5 Days Of Jail Time“:
“Paul Pelosi, husband of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, pled guilty to driving under the influence after being arrested in May.
“Pelosi, 82, pled guilty to one count of DUI, according to court records. He was subsequently sentenced to three years of probation, and five days of jail time with credit for any time served.” [emphasis added]
As a reminder:
“Pelosi was arrested in Napa Valley, California, after he was involved in a car accident while under the influence of alcohol near midnight one Saturday in May. There were no injuries reported from the crash, which involved Pelosi’s Porsche and a Jeep. He was held on $5,000 bail the night of his arrest.” [emphasis added]
Several criminal law experts familiar with California believe Pelosi will not serve any time behind bars following his sentencing today as he will be credited for the time he was in jail when he was arrested and given advance credit for good time if he were to be locked up.
