(RightIsRight.co) – BREAKING NOW: In another sign that liberal sanctuary cities can dish it out but not take it, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has declared a state of emergency over the influx of illegal aliens the city has experienced in recent months as border states which have experienced millions of illegals bused 17,000 illegals to the Big Apple.
As the Daily Caller notes in a piece headlined “NYC Mayor Eric Adams Declares ‘State Of Emergency’ Over Illegal Migrant Buses“:
“Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams declared a “state of emergency” Friday to manage the influx of illegal migrants bused from the southern border to the Big Apple.
“Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott began busing illegal migrants to New York City in August and, since then, the city has received around 17,000 illegal migrants, Adams said. Adams’ declaration will allow city agencies to construct “humanitarian relief centers” to address the surge.” [emphasis added]
Speaking about the “crisis” today, Adams said:
“This is a humanitarian crisis that started with violence and instability in South America and is being accelerated by American political dynamics. Thousands of asylum seekers have been bused into New York City and simply dropped off, without notice, coordination, or care — and more are arriving every day…
“Our social services and our values are being exploited by others for political gain. New Yorkers are angry, I am angry too. We have not asked for this. There was never any agreement to take on the job of supporting thousands of asylum seekers. This responsibility was simply handed to us without warning as buses began showing up.”
As one conservative commentator noted to Right Is Right, “It’s newsworthy that liberal mayors like Adams had nothing to say about Joe Biden’s open border policies flooding the United States of America with illegal aliens until a few thousand were bused from border states to liberal sanctuary cities like New York.”
