(RightIsRight.co) – Pope Francis has once again overstepped his role as a religious leader by criticizing U.S. immigration policies and pushing a pro-illegal immigrant agenda.
His recent comments reveal a dangerous misunderstanding of American sovereignty and the importance of secure borders.
In a letter to U.S. bishops, Pope Francis condemned the Trump administration’s efforts to enforce immigration laws and protect American citizens.
“What is built on the basis of force, and not on the truth about the equal dignity of every human being, begins badly and will end badly,” the Pope said.
He added:
“That said, the act of deporting people who in many cases have left their own land for reasons of extreme poverty, insecurity, exploitation, persecution or serious deterioration of the environment, damages the dignity of many men and women, and of entire families, and places them in a state of particular vulnerability and defenselessness.”
The Pope’s remarks demonstrate a clear bias against common-sense border security measures and disregard for the rule of law.
Pope Francis went as far as describing Trump’s plan to deport illegal aliens as a “disgrace.”
This inflammatory language not only undermines the legitimacy of U.S. immigration policies but also ignores the negative impacts of unchecked illegal immigration on American communities.
“I exhort all the faithful of the Catholic Church … not to give in to narratives that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters,” Pope Francis stated.
The Pope-s words have been labeled a clear attempt to guilt American Catholics into supporting policies that prioritize illegal aliens over law-abiding citizens.
Despite the Pope’s criticism, the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts have been effective.
The White House press secretary reported over 8,000 arrests in immigration enforcement since Trump’s inauguration.
Although the Pope has attempted to sway public opinion against him, President Trump received significant support from Catholic voters in the 2024 election.
This suggests that many American Catholics recognize the importance of strong borders and reject the Vatican’s push for open-border policies.
While the Pope’s concern for human dignity is admirable, he has failed to acknowledge the plight of American citizens who bear the brunt of illegal immigration.
As the first Latin American Pope, Francis has been called out for what appears to be an evident bias towards open borders.
Ultimately, his role as a religious leader should not extend to dictating U.S. immigration policy.
American voters and elected officials, not foreign religious figures, should determine how best to secure borders and manage immigration.
