(RightIsRight.co) – Sex trafficking is a horrific crime that claims millions of victims every year. While many who participate in this criminal act fly under the radar, a recent investigation in Portland, Oregon uncovered one top Democrat who allegedly solicited sex on a known trafficking website.
On Saturday, May 1, the Portland Police Bureau released a statement sharing that eight men had been arrested for involvement in “arranging payment for sexual acts.” When the Portland Tribune asked the police department for a list of the alleged criminals, they received the name “53-year-old David Hunt of Milwaukie” who has the same personal details as former Oregon House Speaker and current Clackamas Community College board member Dave Hunt.

Hunt’s lawyer denied the allegations and plans to fight the accusation in court. Ironically, Hunt is being charged under the anti-commercial sex solicitation bill HB 2714, which he voted in favor of in 2011. While we will certainly watch this story unfold, all Americans can be thankful for the dedication of our law enforcement who are committed to fighting human trafficking wherever it lies, even when that’s in powerful places within the Democrat party.
