DeSantis Attacks Nikki

( – Following a series of recent events that continue affecting her political reputation, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) expressed disappointment with Nikki Haley (R) for not supporting former President Trump after she bowed out of the Republican primary race.

As he reflected on the GOP’s loyalty pledge, DeSantis stated, “I signed the pledge, and you signed the pledge saying that you’re gonna not take your ball and go home. And so I honored the pledge, and she’s gonna have to make a decision about whether she wants to or not.”

Likewise, DeSantis emphasized the consistency expected and suggested that circumstances have not changed and that individuals must evaluate the significance of their commitments.

While he asserted his own commitment, he stated, “If I say I’m going to do something, I’m going to do it.”

The Republican National Committee (RNC) required candidates to sign a loyalty pledge for debate stage qualification, which vowed support for the eventual GOP nominee. Haley, alongside other major candidates, signed the pledge.

In contrast, Trump refused to participate in the debates, mentioned his wide lead in the polls, and decided not to sign.

In addition, several former challengers to the former president have decided to support him since they left the presidential race, including DeSantis, Senator Tim Scott, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum.

Notably, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who has consistently criticized Trump pledged not to vote for him “under any circumstances” after he withdrew before the Iowa caucuses.

In her announcement to suspend her campaign, Haley emphasized that Trump must “earn” the votes of her supporters. “It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond it who did not support him, and I hope he does that,” she stated.

Furthermore, she highlighted that the essence of politics is to bring people into the cause, not to turn them away.

“And our conservative cause badly needs more people,” she added. “This is now his time for choosing.”
