(RightIsRight.co) – Over the past year, we’ve watched government shutdowns cripple our economy and force millions into unemployment. The man pushing for many of these policies, however, has had little to worry about when it comes to making ends meet. Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), was the highest-paid Federal government employee last year.
According to reports collected through the Freedom of Information Act, Dr. Fauci received $417,608 in annual wages in 2019. This is more than the President’s annual salary of $400,000. In addition, the vast majority of the Federal government’s top earners are all medical officers within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

While Fauci is knowledgeable in his field, his lifestyle and earnings are far separated from the majority of Americans whose livelihoods were destroyed through the mandated shutdowns he pushed. This is why everyday Americans must continue to tell our representatives just what policies we want so that the power of the people can be heard.
