(RightIsRight.co) – Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk has slammed The New York Times for serving “far-left politicians” after the newspaper ignored his exposing of the platform’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story in 2020.
At the end of last week, Musk, who bought Twitter for $44 billion in October, began providing internal records to journalist Matt Taibbi.
The documents revealed that the platform censored the revelations from Hunter Biden’s laptop right before the 2020 presidential election and that Joe Biden’s presidential campaign was instructing Twitter staffers which tweets to delete.
Neither the original Hunter Biden laptop revelations nor the new ones have been covered by The New York Times.
“That is because The New York Times has become, for all intents and purposes, an unregistered lobbying firm for far-left politicians,” Musk wrote on Twitter.
He was responding to a tweet from Clay Travis, the conservative radio host who was resentful that the Times had not covered the Twitter Files at all.
“There is not one single article about @elonmusk or the @twitter email release last night on @nytimes app this morning,” the founder of OutKick.com wrote \
“Whatever your politics are if you’re in media and you don’t think new revelations about the most severe censorship of a newspaper’s story in big tech history isn’t a story worthy of covering you aren’t a journalist you’re a propagandist,” Travis wrote.
Musk’s description of The New York Times as a servant of the far left came after last Friday he blasted the mainstream media outlet for falsely claiming that his takeover of Twitter had caused hate speech to explode.
“Utterly false,” Elon Musk wrote in response to an NYT article entitled, “Hate Speech’s Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find.”
In November, probably before he had even decided to start publishing internal Twitter records, Musk had already slammed The New York Times as nothing but a tool of far-left propaganda.
“It is tragic how far The New York Times has fallen — basically just boring af far left brainwashing at this point. The boring part is truly unforgivable!” the Twitter CEO wrote back then.
At the time, he was responding to a tweet by author Matt Taibbi, the same investigative journalist he later entrusted with looking into the Twitter Files and revealing to the American public the truth about the platform’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Another major pro-Democrat newspaper, The Washington Post, also failed to cover the Twitter Leaks on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Other liberal media, however, such as CNN, CBS, and NBC, have started reporting on the revelations.
