FBI Discovers Body in Grand Teton National Park

(RightIsRight.co) – When 22-year old Gabby Petito set out on a cross-country trek with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie in July, she could not have imagined that it would likely be her last adventure. After weeks of searching and speculation, the FBI recovered a body in Grand Teton National Park’s Spread Creek dispersed camping area matching the young blogger’s description.

On Sunday, September 19, after a tip from van life YouTubers Jenn and Kyle Bethune, the FBI found the body of a young woman matching Petito’s photos. The search for her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, is heating up while the autopsy to confirm Gabby’s identity will take place on Tuesday, September 21.

On September 1, Brain Laundrie returned to his Florida home from Wyoming without Gabby. After Petito’s parents filed a missing person report on Saturday, September 11, Laundrie refused to give any details surrounding Petito’s whereabouts. On Tuesday, September 14, Brian left his family’s home, potentially to hike in the Carlton Reserve near Venice, Florida. However, his family has not seen or heard from him since.

On Monday, September 20, after days of searching for Laundrie, the FBI swarmed his Florida home, and declared it a crime scene:

While investigators have not revealed any hard evidence condemning Laundrie for killing Gabby Petito, he’s likely the last person to have seen her alive and is seemingly on the run from the police.

Hopefully, the FBI is able to locate Laundrie to discover all the details of Petito’s death and bring justice to this heartbreaking situation.
