As federal agencies scramble to uncover the source of these disturbing messages, questions arise about whether this could be a politically motivated attempt to spread division and fear among minority communities.

State attorneys general and the FBI are urging recipients of these racist text messages to report them immediately to authorities.

The investigation involves multiple branches of the FBI, including criminal, cyber and counterintelligence units, highlighting the complexity and potential national security implications of the case.

The messages were sent anonymously to Black individuals across several states and contained offensive language and references to plantations, slavery, and even mentioned President-elect Donald Trump.

This blatant attempt to associate conservative values with racism has rightfully drawn condemnation from all sides, including the Trump campaign, which has vowed to take legal action if the origin is uncovered.

While the left-leaning mainstream media focuses on stoking racial tensions, it is crucial to note that the Trump campaign has unequivocally condemned these messages.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Jessica Rosenworcel said, “These messages are unacceptable,” underscoring that the agency takes “this type of targeting very seriously.”

Interestingly, some messages were traced to a VPN in Poland, raising questions about foreign interference in American domestic affairs.

However, the FBI has cautioned against jumping to conclusions, as VPNs can be used to mask the true origin of these messages.

The wireless industry, represented by CTIA, has taken swift action by blocking thousands of these messages and cooperating with law enforcement.

This proactive approach demonstrates the private sector’s commitment to combating hate and protecting American citizens from malicious actors, regardless of their political affiliations.
