(RightIsRight.co) – As the sun rises on Wednesday, January 6, two Georgia Senate runoff races are incredibly close. Most mainstream news organizations have declared Democrat Raphael Warnock the winner against Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA). But, the second race is still too close to call.
Democrat Jon Ossoff is projected to win the second seat, likely making the US Senate split 50-50 along party lines, with Democrat Kamala Harris able to split a tie should she be sworn in as vice president. An Ossoff victory would bump out Senator David Perdue (R-GA), who released the following statement early Wednesday morning:

Perdue’s campaign is likely to request a recount, which they can legally do if the margin is less than 0.5%.
Loeffler spoke on her loss late Tuesday night, asking all Americans to “stay in the fight with us.”
While there’s a chance Democrats could control both Congress and the White House in a few weeks, they would only do so with a thin and precarious majority. Many moderate Democrats are disillusioned with their party and could actually keep GOP control of many critical issues over the coming years, giving hope to Americans.
