(RightIsRight.co) – There’s no debating that social media has a unique ability to rally people behind a cause. The FBI has been asked to investigate the conservative site Parler’s role in the January 6 invasion of the US Capitol. However, GOP House representatives are asking the FBI to also include Twitter and Facebook in their inquiry.
On Thursday, January 21, Representative Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) asked the FBI to investigate whether Parler was a “potential facilitator” of the violence that occurred on January 6. However, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee failed to include other Big Tech companies in her request.
In response, Representatives James Comer (R-KY) and Greg Steube (R-FL) wrote a letter to Maloney, calling her request for only Parler to be investigated “blatantly and overtly partisan.”
The full letter can be viewed here:
🚨JUST NOW🚨
@RepJamesComer and @RepGregSteube sent a letter to Chairwoman @RepMaloney regarding her request for the @FBI to investigate Parler for its role in the Capitol attack. The partisan request deliberately excludes Facebook & Twitter and targets conservatives.👇🏼 pic.twitter.com/iySKm1QJQH— Oversight Committee Republicans (@GOPoversight) January 25, 2021
Reporter Tammy Bruce was grateful for the GOP’s push for a thorough probe:
One would think. “House Oversight GOP says any FBI probe into Parler 'role' in Capitol riot 'should include' Facebook, Twitter” https://t.co/pkr48RR4SP

GOP lawmakers continue to fight for justice with a proper federal investigation. Any probe into Big Tech’s influence in the events of the past months will hopefully lead to answers and necessary reform to keep our nation safe and free.
