GOP Leaders Condemn Democrats' Rushed Impeachment Efforts

(RightIsRight.co) – Democrats quickly rushed an article of impeachment against President Donald Trump through the House on Wednesday, January 13. But, GOP leaders were quick to condemn the Left for its highly politicized actions, as the Democrats skipped both impeachment investigations and committee hearings. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) publicly condemned the rushed decision.

On Wednesday, January 13 during the House impeachment debate, McCarthy spoke out against the violence that took place last week while sharing his opinion on the impeachment efforts:

In his speech, he declared impeachment would “further fan the flames of partisan division” when it’s “durable, bipartisan justice” for those who broke the law last week that most Americans want.

Meanwhile, McConnell chose to not reconvene the Senate for an emergency session, making a trial over the article of impeachment near impossible before January 20. Together, these GOP leaders supported President Trump and his efforts to promote unity and peace while protecting our Constitution.
