This tragic event unfolded in the Washington Park area, as per the records of the Chicago Police Department.

Tragically, an 18-year-old male lost his life in this incident. Among the injured, two are teenagers, as noted by The Chicago Tribune.

The police stated that they were alerted to the shooting on the 5700 block of South Payne Drive around 8:15 p.m.

The deceased 18-year-old suffered injuries to his thigh and buttocks. After being transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, he unfortunately passed away.

Two other young victims – a 16-year-old boy and another 18-year-old – are in stable condition at the hospital. The former was injured in the leg, while the latter has wounds on both his leg and torso.

Another victim, a 52-year-old male, is critically injured, having sustained gunshot injuries to his chest and face, and is receiving care at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
