(RightIsRight.co) – In a bombshell declaration, Second Gentleman and Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, has tacitly admitted to cheating on his first wife with their children’s nanny and left her pregnant.
Emhoff told CNN that he and his first wife, film producer Kerstin Emhoff, had been “through some tough times” due to his “actions” but had dealt with things “as a family” and had come out stronger.
This statement follows a report claiming Emhoff had an affair with the couple’s nanny, 47-year-old Najen Naylor, and allegedly got her pregnant.
“During my first marriage, Kerstin and I went through some tough times on account of my actions,” Emhoff said in his statement. “I took responsibility, and in the years since, we worked through things as a family and have come out stronger on the other side.”
The report claimed that a “close friend” who knew about the affair and alleged pregnancy said Naylor did not end up keeping the baby.
When approached by an anonymous person at her home in the Hamptons, Naylor reportedly said she was “kind of freaked out right now” and did not comment further.
At the time, Naylor was a teaching assistant and teacher at the Willows Community School in Culver City, California, and also worked as a nanny for Emhoff’s daughter, Ella.
Moreover, Naylor’s Facebook reportedly shows a video with three babies: Sawyer, George, and Brook. Sawyer and George are Brooks’ children, born in July 2009, but it is unclear who the third baby belongs to.
Another friend of Naylor’s reportedly dismissed the pregnancy claims, stating, “There was no baby.”
“Every parent wanted her to be the teacher for their kid,” the friend said. “She was the perfect person. She came from a good family. She was not pregnant. There was no baby. I would know.”
While Emhoff’s statement to CNN did not address the pregnancy allegations with Naylor, Kerstin issued a statement praising her ex-husband as a “great father” to their children and a “great friend” to her.
