(RightIsRight.co) – Democrats have tried a multitude of tactics to oust President Donald Trump over the past four years. As top Democrats move this week to impeach our president once again, Republicans have called out this latest attempt, saying it’s as “unnecessary as it is inflammatory.”
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is leading the effort to impeach President Trump or otherwise get him removed from office. However, this comes while our country is deeply divided over election fraud, integrity, and the events that unfolded on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, January 6.
House representative Ken Buck (R-CO) banned together with six other congressional members to “formally request” that Joe Biden ask Pelosi to stand down in her efforts to impeach. He shared his full letter to Biden on Twitter:
In the spirit of healing and fidelity to our Constitution, I am asking that @JoeBiden formally request that Speaker Pelosi discontinue her efforts to impeach President Trump a second time. pic.twitter.com/BpCouEPxiW

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) further urged Biden to stop Pelosi:
Impeaching the President with just 12 days left will only divide our country more. I've reached out to President-elect Biden today & plan to speak to him about how we must work together to lower the temperature & unite the country to solve America’s challenges.

At a time when America needs to draw together, or at least respect the different opinions of others, Democrats are pushing a partisan agenda that would only further divide our country. This cannot stand if we are to move forward as one nation.
