Kamala’s Fundraising Numbers Revealed

Kamala Harris

(RightIsRight.co) – Kamala Harris’ fundraising numbers have been revealed, as she has raised around $500 million for her presidential campaign since she became the Democrats’ nominee.

According to some sources, Harris raised this substantial amount in just four weeks after she entered the race on July 21.

Campaign funds are crucial for things like advertising and efforts to get voters to the polls or sway undecided voters.

Moreover, Harris jumped into the race after Joe Biden stepped aside from the top of the party’s ticket. This move reignited funding that had dwindled following Biden’s poor debate performance against Republican candidate Donald Trump.

Even though Harris has not yet given interviews

In her first week as a candidate, Harris raised $200 million and quickly secured enough support to become the party’s nominee.

Her team brought in $310 million in July alone, making the combined total from her and Biden before his exit more than $1 billion. This is the fastest anyone has reached that fundraising milestone in history.

Furthermore, Trump’s campaign reported raising $138.7 million in July and having $327 million in cash on hand. His campaign outpaced Biden’s fundraising in the second quarter.

Support for Harris has kept strong into August, with her campaign reporting $377 million in cash at the end of July.

In comparison, Biden’s campaign committee raised $1.04 billion during the 2020 election cycle, which, when including outside groups, totaled $1.62 billion, according to OpenSecrets, a group that tracks political money.

Harris praised Biden on the first night of the Democrat National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, where he touted his record and urged voters to back Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Harris has repeatedly called herself an underdog in the race against Trump in the hopes of preventing complacency among her voting and donor base.
