(RightIsRight.co) – Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, still harbors hope she may win the 2022 vote against Democrat Katie Hobbs.
According to National Review, however, a Kari Lake victory in Arizona’s contested gubernatorial vote has become a “mathematical impossibility.”
Lake spoke on “The War Room,” the podcast of former White House strategist Steve Bannon. Bannon is a Donald Trump ally, just like herself.
“I still have hope that we’re going to win this. I want you to know that. This is not hyperbole. This lawsuit that we will be dropping is going to be devastating. I believe we will win this,” Lake stated.
“You’re gonna win this. This is their absolute plan and it’s up in broad daylight, and somebody’s gotta call it out. This stinks to high heaven, and everybody’s going to be held accountable for this,” Bannon responded.
He insisted that the presently declared victory of Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s present Secretary of State, was illegitimate.
“They have disenfranchised Kari Lake, the citizens of Arizona, and disenfranchised the deplorables,” he added, using a word first used by Hillary Clinton in 2016 to describe the supporters of President Donald Trump.
The official results, which Lake’s team is contesting in court, give her 49.7% of the vote (1,270,774 votes), and Katie Hobbs – 50.3% of the vote (1,287,890 votes).
On Election Day, Arizona’s Maricopa County, the fourth most populous in the United States with nearly 4.5 million people, experienced issues with vote tabulators, which enraged conservatives and Republican voters.
The report noted the issues were resolved swiftly, and voters could vote using “alternative processes.”
Last week, Kari Lake hinted she lost the election because of voter fraud.
“Arizonans know BS when they see it,” Lake declared on Twitter after several media outlets called the election in Hobbs’ favor.
Former US President Donald Trump, who endorsed Lake, also hypothesized to that end.
Lake has supported Trump’s claims that the Democrats and Joe Biden stole the 2020 election from him using voter fraud.
“Wow! They just took the election away from Kari Lake. It’s really bad out there!” Trump wrote on his social media, Truth Social.
“I still have hope that we’re gonna win this."
