Marine Becomes Virginia’s First Female Lieutenant Governor

Winsome Sears

(RightIsRight.co) – While the socialists and communists in the mainstream media wring their hands and focus on the fact that Republican Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial race, they have all but ignored an even bigger and more significant accomplishment by a conservative in the Old Dominion.

As any true patriotic conservative knows, that accomplishment is the victory of Winsome Sears in her race to become Virginia’s Lieutenant Governor.

When she defeated Democrat Hala Ayala in the contest to succeed term-limited Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, Winsome Sears became the first woman and the first woman of color to rise to the second-highest office in Virginia.

And, given her stellar background and life story, it’s no wonder that she won her race in an election year that saw conservatives and patriots defeat liberals all across this great land as Americans have had enough of Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and their ilk.

Here’s just a small taste of who Winsome Sears is, in case you’re unaware.

As one publication put it, Sears is “A Jamaican-born Marine veteran, businesswoman and avid gun supporter.” And yes, like so many good patriots, she knows her way around guns and regularly hones her skills at her local range, as you can see from one of her tweets that we’re sharing below.

Will Sears be an effective champion for conservative causes in a state that has been shifting blue for years? Time will tell.

But one thing is sure. As the first woman of color to win statewide office in Virginia, not to mention the first Republican lieutenant governor since 2014, all eyes will be on Sears, and conservatives wish her nothing but success.
