Mass Shooting at Birthday Party

( – What was supposed to be a happy birthday turned into a tragedy, as a shooting at a Kentucky home resulted in four deaths and left three people wounded.

The shooter opened fire during a birthday celebration for the homeowner’s 21-year-old son in Florence, Kentucky, around 2:50 a.m.

Police discovered seven victims at the scene, including 44-year-old Melissa Parrett, 20-year-old Shane Miller, 20-year-old Hayden Rybicki, and 19-year-old Delaney Eary, who tragically lost their lives.

According to a source, the three injured individuals were rushed to a Cincinnati hospital in critical condition but are expected to survive.

In addition, neighbor Leah Moore recalled hearing what she initially mistook for firecrackers around 2 a.m.

“I saw crime tape, I saw a bunch of cops, I saw all the kids in one of my neighbors’ yards across the street,” Moore recounted.

Following the shooting, 21-year-old suspect Chase Garvey reportedly fled the scene, leading to a police pursuit.

As per authorities’ report, Garvey eventually died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after crashing his vehicle into a ditch.

Moreover, Florence Chief of Police Jeff Mallery indicated that Garvey acted alone and reassured the public that there was no ongoing threat.

“I know what’s going on throughout the nation, but this is the first time that we’ve had a mass shooting in Florence,” Mallery stated.

“Yeah, it is very emotional. My emotions are for the victims, their families, the officers that responded, everybody that was touched by this situation,” he added.

As for now, authorities are continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting, but answers are yet to be disclosed.
