(RightIsRight.co) – The level of absurdity when it comes to attacks on the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, and specifically gun manufacturers operating within the United States, has jumped to a new high.
Mexico, home to some of the most ruthless and violent gangs and cartels in the world, is suing U.S. gun manufacturers.
Why?
Mexico claims the manufacturers are facilitating the trafficking of weapons to its drug cartels and causing thousands of deaths inside Mexico.
We kid you not.
As the good people at Newsmax point out:
“Major U.S. gun manufacturers are slated to urge a federal judge in Boston to dismiss a lawsuit by the Mexican government accusing them of facilitating the trafficking of weapons to drug cartels, leading to thousands of deaths in Mexico…
“Mexico accused the companies of undermining its strict gun laws by designing, marketing and distributing military-style assault weapons in ways they knew would arm drug cartels, fueling murders, extortions and kidnappings.”
Further:
“Mexico’s lawsuit said over 500,000 guns are trafficked annually from the United States into Mexico, of which more than 68% are made by the manufacturers it sued, which also include Beretta USA, Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, Colt’s Manufacturing Co and Glock Inc.”
Unless the judge is a total leftist, we expect the lawsuit to be tossed. If not, if it goes as far as the United States Supreme Court, it is all but certain it will be eventually dismissed.
