(RightIsRight.co) – While the 2022 midterms are still over a year away, campaigns are beginning to heat up while many organizations are signing up Americans to vote. Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s voter registration and engagement organization, ‘When We All Vote,’ jumped on this momentum by announcing new events to encourage citizens to take part in the democratic process.
Polls show that Republicans will likely take back the House in 2022. Some even speculate the GOP could even tip the deadlocked 50-50 Senate back in their favor during the election. Democrats feel this mounting pressure, however, and are pushing back. On Tuesday, September 21, When We All Vote announced multiple events with celebrities like NBA star Chris Paul, radio host Angela Yee, and actress Regina Hall to encourage Americans to vote.
The programs will take many forms, including Instagram Live segments focusing on women’s rights and voting reforms.

While the group claims to be nonpartisan, Barack Obama launched it in 2018. It’s calling on the Senate to pass both the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. Hopefully, the GOP has learned a thing or two from the Democrats’ keen ability to mobilize voters and will do the same in the coming months.
