VIDEO: MLK III Says His Father Would Be Disappointed

Martin Luther King III

(RightIsRight.co) – Martin Luther King III, the son of the legendary civil rights leader, shared a sobering but perhaps unsurprising view of today’s socio-political landscape as he believes his father would be “disappointed” with today’s America.

See the video below.

This stark assessment comes as no surprise to conservatives who have long warned about the dangers of unchecked progressivism and the abandonment of core American principles.

King III’s candid remarks highlight the deep divisions that have taken root in society, largely fueled by radical leftist agendas and the breakdown of family values.

While acknowledging both constructive and destructive elements in the nation’s recent history, he emphasized the need for unity and dialogue – concepts that seem increasingly foreign in today’s polarized political climate.

Interestingly, King III drew attention to the coincidence of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration with Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

This timing provides a unique opportunity for reflection on the true meaning of American unity and the importance of conservative values in shaping the nation’s future.

“[Trump] has said that he wants to create some semblance of unity. Now what that means is, you gotta be in dialogue with everybody. You can’t just say, ‘Well this is what some want me to do so I’m gonna do it,’” King III stated.

He continued, “Doesn’t mean that you will do it, but you at least have to be in dialogue. And you need to set that tone.”

While King III’s call for dialogue is commendable, it is crucial to recognize that true unity can only be achieved by returning to the fundamental principles that made America great.

The left’s relentless push for radical social change and government overreach has only served to divide the nation further, creating a climate of hostility towards traditional values and patriotic Americans.

In addition, King III’s observation that the United States is not currently living up to its name as “the United States of America” should serve as a wake-up call to all patriots.

King III also remarked:

“If you said you wanted to be a uniter, then those who didn’t support you — you need to reach out to them or allow them to reach out to you. Don’t keep the door closed and say, ‘No, we’re not ever going to do that.’ Because that’s only going to be counterproductive.”

Even though King III’s words were likely aimed at President-elect Trump, they apply equally to the radical left, who have consistently shut out conservative voices and vilified those who dare to challenge their destructive ideology.

True unity can only be achieved when all Americans, regardless of political affiliation, recommit to the values of freedom, personal responsibility, and limited government that has long been the bedrock of our nation.

King III expressed hope for a more inclusive dialogue during the Trump administration, aspiring for a future where differences do not divide but invigorate a shared pursuit of Dr. King’s timeless dream.
