Musk Offers To Help Trump Do THIS!?

Elon Musk

(RightIsRight.co) – During Monday’s interview of former President Donald Trump, Tesla and X CEO Elon Musk suggested creating a “government efficiency commission” to tackle government waste and offered to “help out” if such a commission were formed.

During their over two-hour chat, Musk pitched the idea to Trump, saying, “I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that takes a look at these things and just ensures that the taxpayer money, the taxpayers’ hard-earned money, is spent in a good way.”

He added, “And I’d be happy to help out on such a commission if it were formed.”

Trump was enthusiastic about the idea.

“I’d love it. You, you’re the greatest cutter,” he responded. “I mean, I look at what you do. You walk in, you just say, ‘You want to quit?’ I won’t mention the name of the company, but they go on strike, and you say, ‘That’s okay; you’re all gone.’”

He asserted that Musk “would be very good” in such a role and that he “would love it.”

Earlier in the conversation, the SpaceX founder stressed the need for the U.S. to cut spending. He noted that “inflation comes from government overspending because the checks never bounce when it’s written by the government.”

Moreover, he underscored that they are currently adding a trillion dollars to the deficit roughly every 100 days. He pointed out that interest payments on the national debt now exceed the defense budget, reaching around a trillion dollars and growing.

The GOP candidate agreed with the mogul that government spending must be curtailed. He said, “The waste is incredible, and nobody negotiates prices.”

Trump cited his own success in cutting waste, including a significant price reduction he negotiated from Boeing for Air Force One and another plane.

Additionally, Trump urged Musk to apply this approach more broadly. “Take that example and multiply that out times thousands of other items,” he said, meaning such cost-cutting measures should be applied across the federal government.

“Exactly. Multiply it by a zillion,” Musk agreed.
