(RightIsRight.co) – The newly appointed head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Elon Musk, said that the U.S. government should delete entire agencies, labeling them the root of the country’s problems.

This move aligns perfectly with President Trump’s mission to drain the swamp and slash wasteful spending, promising to restore power to the American people.
Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Musk stated, “I think we do need to delete entire agencies as opposed to leave a lot of them behind. If we don’t remove the roots of the weed, then it’s easy for the weed to grow back.”
President Trump’s appointment of Musk as a “special government employee” has given him unprecedented access to sensitive databases and the authority to sideline career officials who have long resisted change.
In addition, Musk has already made significant impacts, including furloughing staff and freezing funding at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
This agency, along with others like the National Endowment for Democracy, has long been criticized for meddling in foreign affairs at the expense of American taxpayers.
“Basically, America should mind its own business, rather than push for regime change all over the place,” Musk stated.
He then asserted:
“So we have to really delete entire agencies, many of them. And that’s not to say there won’t be an increase over time of bureaucracy in some new administration, but it will be from a much lower baseline. So certainly it’s a step in the right direction.”
The DOGE initiative is not just about cutting costs but fundamentally restructuring how the government operates.
Musk believes this approach could lead to a staggering $1 trillion reduction in the federal deficit by 2026, a goal that aligns perfectly with conservative values of fiscal responsibility and limited government.
As expected, leftists and career bureaucrats are already opposing these much-needed reforms.
Still, with the support of President Trump and the American people, Musk’s plan to revolutionize the government stands a real chance of success.
