(RightIsRight.co) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is one of the most widely recognized names in the Democratic party. But, according to a new biography on the representative, the lawmaker would likely never have had the chance to rise to her current position if she hadn’t used some manipulation tactics in the 1987 special election primary to win her first seat in the House.
On April 20, Madam Speaker: Nancy Pelosi and the Lessons of Power, written by USA Today’s Susan Page, will hit shelves and Amazon carts across the nation. But, when readers open up the book, they’ll learn how Pelosi used absentee ballot parties to conjure up votes, in addition to sending out manipulative mailers to Republicans asking for votes.
Pelosi, for fear of losing to another Democrat in the special election, sent out a “Republican voter alert” flier, complete with an elephant logo, telling Conservatives she would “fight all efforts to raise the personal income tax,” something that completely contradicts her current agenda.
Breitbart first reported on the book’s narrative:

Since that race, Pelosi has worked her way through a variety of California districts to her current status. But, if she hadn’t manipulated Conservatives with fear decades ago, perhaps she wouldn’t be standing in the hallowed halls of Congress today. This all happened back in 1987, and here she is today, still in power, and likely encouraging her fellow democrats to use some of the same tactics to stay in office.
This story shows how important it is to fully research candidates and get out and vote when it’s our turn.
