(RightIsRight.co) – President Trump’s current administration is shifting gears on Ukraine as U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declared that returning to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders is unrealistic.
See the video below.
Speaking at NATO headquarters Hegseth did not mince words. He stated firmly that “returning to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective,” effectively shutting down the endless war agenda pushed by globalists and Deep State actors.
“We want, like you, a sovereign and prosperous Ukraine. But we must start by recognizing that returning to Ukraine’s pre-2014 borders is an unrealistic objective,” Hegseth affirmed.
Hegseth’s statement marks a decisive break from the Biden administration’s reckless blank-check policy towards Ukraine.
Instead of throwing American taxpayer dollars into a bottomless pit of foreign conflict, the Trump administration is refocusing on securing American borders and deterring the real threat: China.
In a move that ruffled feathers among the war-hungry establishment, Hegseth also ruled out NATO membership for Ukraine.
He declared, “The United States does not believe that NATO membership for Ukraine is a realistic outcome of a negotiated settlement.”
True to the America First doctrine, Hegseth emphasized that European troops, not American soldiers, should be the primary force securing a post-war Ukraine.
He stated unequivocally, “To be clear, as part of any security guarantee, there will not be US troops deployed to Ukraine.”
While reaffirming America’s commitment to NATO, Hegseth called for a more balanced relationship with Europe.
He challenged American allies to step up, demanding they increase their defense spending to 5% of GDP.
President Trump’s strategic vision shines through in this new approach. By prioritizing peace through diplomacy and leveraging America’s energy dominance to pressure Russia, Trump is demonstrating true leadership.
Unlike the previous administration’s weak posturing, Trump’s team is bringing both Russia and Ukraine to the negotiation table, aiming for a resolution that serves American interests first.
Ultimately, the Trump administration’s approach reflects a blend of optimism for diplomatic solutions and realism in defense policies, signaling a departure from past strategies.
In doing so, Hegseth’s remarks not only reflect America’s new defense strategy but also articulate a call for European responsibility in securing regional peace and stability.
