Nikki Blames Who?

( – In a moment of great tension, a former United Nations Ambassador and presidential candidate faced a contentious situation during a recent town hall.

When quizzed about the causes of the Civil War, Nikki Haley, presidential candidate for the 2024 election response omitted any mention of slavery, leading her to later attribute the question to a “Democrat plant.”

At the town hall, an audience member queried the ex-South Carolina governor about the Civil War’s origins.

Haley’s reply focused on government roles and individual freedoms.

“The cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run. The freedoms and what people could and couldn’t do,” she stated, emphasizing the government’s intended role in securing rights and freedoms, not being all-encompassing.

The lack of direct reference to slavery in her initial response surprised the questioner, who remarked on the omission’s astonishing nature in 2023.

Haley’s subsequent query, “What do you want me to say about slavery?” led to a clarification on her part.

She acknowledged, in a discussion with a local radio host, that slavery was indeed a central issue of the Civil War, noting her Southern heritage as part of her awareness.

However, Haley also suggested that the question might have been a strategic move by Democrats, aiming to shift the narrative.

She speculated that they preferred to run against former President Trump rather than her, implying that the query was an attempt to undermine her candidacy.

Haley noted the questioner’s reluctance to identify himself to reporters, bolstering her claim of a Democrat setup.
