No One FIRED for THIS?!

(RightIsRight.co) – Three years after the U.S. hastily pulled out of Afghanistan, the Biden-Harris administration has not fired anyone over how poorly the operation was handled.

Instead of seeking accountability, the administration continues to stand by its decision to leave.

The exit from Afghanistan in August 2021 was widely criticized for being hasty and chaotic, causing the deaths of several U.S. troops.

Despite this, the administration has not accepted any blame, and no leaders involved have lost their jobs or stepped down, as a review of several records found.

At first, the Biden administration aimed to have all U.S. troops out of Afghanistan by September 2021.

However, poor planning and a lack of preparation from Washington leaders led to a messy and disorganized exit.

Military leaders also misjudged the situation, not expecting the Taliban to take over as quickly as they did after U.S. forces left.

Led by Secretary Lloyd Austin, the Department of Defense played a key role in the withdrawal, overseeing military operations and providing support on the ground in Afghanistan.

Retired General Mark Milley, the top military officer at the time, also coordinatеd the withdrawal strategy. Both Austin and Milley were actively involved in planning the withdrawal.

Retired General Austin Scott Miller, the top U.S. general in Afghanistan at that time, told lawmakers in a private meeting in April that he had warned the administration that Afghanistan’s situation would worsen quickly once U.S. forces left.

Miller resignеd in July 2023 after being the highest-ranking U.S. officer in Afghanistan.

Nеither Austin nor Milley lost their positions over the withdrawal, although Milley did tell Congress in 2023 that he had advised keeping troops in Afghanistan to prevent a swift collapsе. Milley’s term as chairman ended in September 2023.

For his part, Austin defended the 2021 troop withdrawal in his 2023 testimony, saying he supported Biden’s decision and had no regrets about how things were handled. He continues to serve as the Secretary of Defensе.

The State Department under Secretary Antony Blinken was also involvеd in the withdrawal.

A 2023 report from the State Department notеd that the withdrawal suffered because it was not clear who was in charge, and there was not enough planning for worst-case scenarios.
