NOW: Dems Take Trump to Court

Happening Now on Right is Right

In a desperate attempt to undermine his decisions, Democrats are taking President Trump to court to halt his executive order requiring citizenship proof for voters and block election integrity measures.

Minority Leader of the United States Senate Chuck Schumer, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and the Democrat National Committee (DNC) have filed lawsuits claiming the order could disenfranchise voters.

The DNC and aligned political groups filed their lawsuit, targeting President Trump’s executive order requiring voters to prove U.S. citizenship.

This prevents counting mail-in ballots received after Election Day and threatens to withhold federal funding from states that do not comply.

The Democrats’ lawsuit argues that these common-sense measures somehow exceed presidential authority and could deny eligible citizens their right to vote.

Top Democrat leaders, including Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, are leading the charge against election security as plaintiffs in the case.

Their opposition comes despite overwhelming support from everyday Americans who simply want confidence that only citizens are participating in the elections.

Moreover, the DOJ has stood firm behind President Trump’s actions.

“The Department of Justice has vigorously defended President Trump’s executive actions, including the order to Preserve and Protect the Integrity of American Elections, and will continue to do so,” a Justice Department spokesperson stated.

At the same time, the White House has forcefully responded to these accusations. White House principal deputy press secretary Harrison Fields stated:

“The Democrats continue to show their disdain for the Constitution and it continues to show in their insane objections to the President’s commonsense executive actions to require proof of U.S. citizenship in an effort to protect the integrity of American elections.”

Democrats are particularly upset that the executive order grants the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access to voter rolls, a transparency measure that would help identify non-citizens on voting rolls.

Although Democrats claim this violates privacy, supporters note that ensuring election integrity outweighs these concerns when American democracy is at stake.

While the lawsuit claims the Constitution gives states and Congress control over federal elections, President Trump’s supporters point out that ensuring only American citizens vote in American elections is a matter of national security that falls under executive authority.

Several voting rights groups aligned with Democrats have also filed separate legal challenges, creating a coordinated assault on the President’s efforts to secure America’s election system.

Meanwhile, patriotic Americans continue to ask why requiring proof of citizenship should be controversial if everyone agrees that only citizens should be voting.
