NOW: First Child Case in the US

(RightIsRight.co) – Raising alarms about the potential for a new health crisis, a child in California has become the first U.S. minor to contract bird flu.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that a child in Alameda County, California, tested positive for bird flu, marking a disturbing milestone in the spread of this dangerous virus.

This development comes as the Biden-Harris administration continues to downplay the risks associated with unchecked immigration and the importation of foreign goods, potentially exposing Americans to new health hazards.

While health officials claimed the child had mild symptoms and is recovering, the incident raises serious questions about the government’s ability to protect its citizens from emerging threats.

Officials said a repeat bird flu test was performed four days later, and the child tested negative. Additional testing showed the child was positive for respiratory viruses that could be the cause of their cold and flu symptoms.

The child had no known contact with an infected animal and health officials were investigating a possible exposure to wild birds.

Meanwhile, the liberal media and health bureaucrats are quick to assure the public that there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission.

However, Americans have learned to be skeptical of such claims, especially given the mishandling of information during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Alameda County child’s bird flu case was detected through influenza testing and reported to CDPH through influenza surveillance the CDC performs in conjunction with state and local health agencies and organizations.

The CDC’s risk assessment for the general public remains low, but concerned citizens are right to question whether this is just another attempt to downplay a potentially serious threat.

Moreover, it is worth noting that California, a sanctuary state known for its lax immigration policies, has been at the center of this outbreak.

The state has reported 29 of the 55 bird flu cases in the U.S. this year, raising questions about whether the influx of illegal aliens and the state’s refusal to cooperate with federal immigration authorities may be contributing to the spread of this disease.

“Bird flu has been detected in wild and domestic birds in California since 2022 and in dairy cattle there since August,” the CDC stated.

The spread of bird flu to dairy cattle is particularly concerning, as it threatens not only public health but also the food supply.

With 402 infected herds in California alone, accounting for 65% of the 616 confirmed cases across 15 states, the economic impact on hardworking American farmers could be devastating.
