(RightIsRight.co) – Reminding America of when Joe Biden was running for president, Kamala Harris attended a glitzy campaign event hosted by Oprah Winfrey where even the famous host had to step in to keep Harris’ answer on track about a policy question.

The two-hour-long “Unite for America” event in Michigan was supposed to showcase grassroots supporters and give voters a chance to grill Harris about her plans.
However, the Democrat nominee failed to reveal any fresh policy ideas.
When Harris was asked about securing the southern border, she rambled for three minutes about her past as a prosecutor and attorney general, ending with a jab at Republicans for not passing a bipartisan border bill.
“So to answer Justin’s question,” Winfrey interrupted, trying to steer Harris back on course.
“Now that that bill is gone and hasn’t passed, will you introduce–” Winfrey started, only for Harris to cut her off.
“Absolutely,” Harris replied, promising to sign the bill into law if elected president but offering no new solutions to the border crisis.
The event sought to reach a wide audience through Winfrey’s star power and multiple social media platforms.
Harris spoke passionately about abortion, calling it “immoral” to deny someone the right to decide about their own body.
She also repeated her promises to give new homeowners $25,000 for their down payment, increase tax deductions for new small business owners and boost the child tax credit.
Surprisingly, Harris has done only six media interviews as a 2024 candidate before the livestream with Winfrey, the fewest of any recent presidential nominee.
She also took over a month to release a list of policy proposals but insists she is “not Joe Biden” and that the country cannot revert to GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump’s presidency.
Her campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon, admitted the race against Trump is tight.
“It’s tied right here in Michigan. It’s tied in all the battleground states. So it’s going to take all of us to build a pathway, many pathways, to 270 electoral votes. That’s what we’re focused on,” he said.
