(RightIsRight.co) – An outrageous and heartless attack in the Bronx left six innocent Americans wounded, including a mother who was used as a human shield by the intended targets and her 12-year-old daughter.
This shocking incident highlights the ongoing threat of violent crime in Democrat-controlled cities, where citizens are left defenseless against armed criminals who roam the streets with impunity.
The terrifying scene unfolded outside a convenience store at 3544 White Plains Rd. in the Bronx shortly before evening.
Two gunmen, described as Black men – one in a black Nike sweatsuit and the other in a grey hoodie – opened fire into the crowded store from the street, targeting individuals inside.
In a sickening twist, the intended targets of the shooting used a 40-year-old mother as a human shield, resulting in her being shot in the stomach.
Her 12-year-old daughter was also hit, suffering a bullet wound to the leg. Four men, aged 18 to 21, were also injured with gunshot wounds to their arms and legs.
NYPD Interim Chief of Department John Chell described the horrific scene:
“If you can imagine, (the) mom and daughter are up against the counter and the two intended targets come in and bump into them, and then turn the mother around as they’re being shot at.”
Chief Chell underscored that such an act was heartless and brazen, with the two shooters opening fire in the middle of the street and into a crowded convenience store.
Witnesses reported hearing 10-15 shots and described the scene as chaotic. The store was left with shattered glass from the gunfire.
Local resident Beverly Taylor recounted, “A lot of people were running. The strip was very crowded. So you wouldn’t know who did it.”
“Whoever shot these people, they had no regard for human life,” another witness recounted.
Despite claims of decreased shooting incidents in NYC, this attack proves that the streets are far from safe.
Mayor Eric Adams emphasized the city’s commitment to justice: “Those numbers mean nothing when you see a horrific incident like that. It is clear we’re going to find everyone that’s responsible and bring them to justice.”
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information about the shooting to come forward. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
