The recent video released by the former Vice President and now GOP presidential hopeful, Mike Pence, has ruffled feathers within the conservative community. In the clip, Pence is seen at a gas station, seemingly fueling a pickup truck, while lamenting the era of “$2 gallon gas” before the Biden administration’s “energy policies.”
The video, which has garnered over a million views and was intended to highlight Pence’s vision for energy autonomy, drew skepticism. Some online users noted a beeping sound in the background, suggesting that Pence might not have been pumping gas at all.
Comedian Rob Schneider quipped on Twitter, “How does he expect to tackle energy independence if he can’t even select the right fuel grade without the beep?”
Political pundit Steven Crowder also weighed in, questioning, “Has Pence ever pumped gas on his own?”
On another note, Pence’s campaign declared that they’ve satisfied the criteria to join the upcoming GOP presidential nomination debate on Fox News. They’ve surpassed the 40,000-donor mark, a key criterion set by the Republican National Committee. Additionally, Pence has already met the required polling standards set by the committee.
