CBS News reported that Houston police handcuffed and removed 45-year-old pilot Seymour Walker from Flight 3195 just before its scheduled departure to Dallas.

Seymour was wanted on an assault family violence warrant from the Department of Public Safety.

Moreover, law enforcement said they waited until the plane arrived at a specific gate at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport about 4 p.m. local time.

Texas law enforcement officials boarded the plane at a specific gate after all passengers had deplaned and took Walker into “custody without incident.”

In turn, Frontier Airlines confirmed the incident and the resulting disruption in a statement to CBS News.

“The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW). A replacement crew member was not immediately available and therefore the flight was canceled,” Frontier Airlines said in its statement.

It continued, “Impacted customers were offered the option of a full refund, credit, or re-accommodation on the next available Frontier flight later that evening.”

The airline also said that passengers were offered a $100 flight voucher and overnight accommodation “as needed.”

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) also responded to the incident: “Airlines report incidents such as this to the FAA office that oversees them, and we investigate all pilot-related issues.”
