(RightIsRight.co) – Former President Donald J. Trump won a major court victory over Stormy Daniels, who, along with many other women, accused Trump of having a sexual affair with her.
Because she has lost the case, Daniels has been ordered to pay Trump’s legal fees totaling $300,000.
But there’s another plot twist as Daniels says she’d rather go to jail than pay Trump.
As the New York Post notes in “Stormy Daniels loses appeal in Trump case, vows not to ‘pay a penny'”:
“Porn star Stormy Daniels has promised to defy a court ruling ordering her to pay nearly $300,000 in former President Donald Trump’s attorneys’ fees over her failed defamation lawsuit.
“Daniels, 43, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, tweeted Monday she won’t honor Friday’s federal appeals court ruling that likely ends the legal feud between her and Trump stemming from an alleged sexual encounter between the two in 2006.”
As for the former president’s thoughts following the court’s ruling:
“‘As I have stated many times throughout the years, I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I ever have wanted to,’ Trump said. ‘The ruling was a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me.'”
What will happen next?
Well, if Daniels doesn’t pay Trump, it is possible that she’ll be held in contempt of court and could be jailed. However, it is far more likely that Trump’s attorneys will try to seize her assets until they satisfy the $300,000 debt.
