Poll: Even Dems Aren’t Happy With Biden

Joe Biden

(RightIsRight.co) – There is a maxim in American politics that says most Americans have made up their mind about how they will vote in November by May of that year. This year, if the maxim holds, Joe Biden and the Democrats are in deep trouble, given a new Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research poll.

According to the Associated Press reporting on its poll:

“President Joe Biden’s approval rating dipped to the lowest point of his presidency in May, a new poll shows, with deepening pessimism emerging among members of his own Democratic Party.

“Only 39% of U.S. adults approve of Biden’s performance as president, according to the poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research, dipping from already negative ratings a month earlier.

“Overall, only about 2 in 10 adults say the U.S. is heading in the right direction or the economy is good, both down from about 3 in 10 a month earlier.” [emphasis added]

And here is the gut-punch to Biden:

“Those drops were concentrated among Democrats, with just 33% within the president’s party saying the country is headed in the right direction, down from 49% in April.” [emphasis added]

Bottom line: While Joe Biden will not face the voters this fall, his party will in the House and Senate and elections all across the United States. And, unless there is a dramatic change in the way Americans view Biden and the Democrats soon, come January of 2023, when the new Congress is sworn in, Biden may be confronted by Republican majorities in both the House and Senate.
