Popular Food Recalled

(RightIsRight.co) – Following several concerns that the products may have spoiled due to refrigeration issues, a new report revealed that a mac and cheese brand sold in major stores like Target, Safeway and Stop & Shop has been voluntarily recalled.

Reser’s Fine Foods recalled two types of its macaroni and cheese products last week—the standard and white cheddar versions.

This comes as authorities have issued a recall for Boar’s Head meat products as they battle the biggest listeria outbreak the country has seen in over a decade.

According to the report, the 12oz products sold in California, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota were pulled after a trailer refrigeration unit malfunctioned.

In addition, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that the recall has been categorized as a Class II risk, meaning the “product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”

The agency also reported more than a dozen other food recalls last month alone. The recalls included items such as desserts, spices, and infant formula.

Furthermore, twelve more of the brand’s products have been recalled, including Reser’s Essential Everyday Original Potato Salad—16 oz and Reser’s American Classics Scalloped Potatoes—12 oz.

Also, Reser’s American Classics Asiago Creamed Spinach – 12 oz, and Reser’s Raspberry Parfait Desserts – 8 lbs.

Customers who have purchased any of the recalled items are being advised not to consume the products, and those with allergies should be particularly cautious.

The agency revealed that Reser’s Fine Foods also voluntarily recalled Hill Country Fare Mustard Potato Salad 48oz, sold at H-E-B and Joe V’s Smart Shop locations in Texas, back in July due to the possible presence of hard plastic pieces in the package.
