(RightIsRight.co) – Perhaps she hasn’t looked at her own political party’s internal polling. Still, one wonders how Democratic strategist Donna Brazile could possibly think the Democrats are better positioned politically than the Republicans going into the November midterm elections.
After all, every reputable poll shows congressional Democrats — even down-ballot Democrats — getting shellacked in November. One recent poll shows the GOP picking up 35 seats in the United States Representatives. That would give them the largest majority they’ve had in that body since the Great Depression.
Yet, there was Brazile on one of the Sunday mainstream media talking head shows this past weekend claiming the Democrats are in great shape to win in November because of the economy.
As Breitbart recounts:
“Brazile claimed that the GOP was ‘essentially running on fume’” from the ‘energy’ of the so-called ‘big lie’ of 2020. She argued that, on the other hand, Democrats ‘are running on the economy that’s roaring back’ and ‘fighting inflation.'”
Here are Donna Brazile’s exact words:
“‘All we have to do is wait over the next 37 days as 11 or 12 states hold their primaries. You have big primaries in Ohio and North Carolina, Pennsylvania where the former president has already tipped the scales and supported one candidate over another,’ Brazile stated. ‘The Republicans are essentially running on fumes. They’re running on the energy of 2020, which is the big lie. Democrats are running on an economy that’s roaring back, that is fighting inflation, that is helping the Ukrainians. Democrats will run on what they delivered. Republicans are going to run on the fumes of 2020.’” [emphasis added]
One wonders what planet Brazile inhabits.
