(RightIsRight.co) – In an outrageous demonstration of disregard for constitutional checks and balances, Kamala Harris has called for the elimination of the Senate filibuster to push through radical abortion legislation.

This latest move exposes the Biden-Harris administration’s willingness to trample on long-standing democrat traditions to force their extreme agenda on the American people.
In a brazen attempt to pander to the far-left base, Harris declared her support for dismantling the filibuster specifically to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law.
This move is clearly part of a broader strategy to energize the Democrat base ahead of the upcoming election. Harris emphasized the importance of re-electing Democrat Tammy Baldwin and maintaining a Democratic majority in the Senate and House.
Likewise, this stance marks a complete reversal from her previous position, revealing her lack of principles and willingness to say anything for political gain.
“I think we should eliminate the filibuster for Roe and get us to the point where 51 votes would be what we need to actually put back in law the protections for reproductive freedom,” Harris disclosed during an interview.
Vice President Kamala Harris announced Tuesday that she would support eliminating the filibuster in the Senate for the purpose of codifying abortion protections previously offered under Roe v. Wade into federal law.https://t.co/ZxfVj3abbU

The blatant power grab flies in the face of Harris’ own words from just a few years ago.
In 2017, she co-signed a letter emphasizing the importance of preserving the filibuster, stating, “We are united in our determination to preserve the ability of Members to engage in extended debate when bills are on the Senate floor.”
“Shame on her,” Senator Joe Manchin told CNN in response to Harris’ comments. “She knows the filibuster is the Holy Grail of democracy. It’s the only thing that keeps us talking and working together.”
“If she gets rid of that, then this would be the House on steroids … I think that basically can destroy our country and my country is more important to me than any one person or any one person’s ideology,” he added.
Senator Kyrsten Sinema also warned of the dangerous precedent this could set. “To state the supremely obvious, eliminating the filibuster to codify Roe v Wade also enables a future Congress to ban all abortion nationwide,” he wrote on X. “What an absolutely terrible, shortsighted idea.”
In addition, the filibuster has been a crucial part of Senate debate since 1789. It was designed to prevent narrow majorities from enacting sweeping changes without bipartisan support.
