(RightIsRight.co) – Proving what millions of right-minded Americans realize is the case, Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz clearly lied about being in Hong Kong during the 1989 protests to witness the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Walz found himself cornered during the vice-presidential debate when pressed about his alleged presence in Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square protests.
Despite his previous assertions, evidence has emerged that thoroughly debunks Walz’s claims, leaving him scrambling for excuses.
In a rare moment of journalistic integrity, CNN unearthed a 2019 radio interview where Walz boldly stated he was in Hong Kong on the day of the massacre.
However, public records tell a different story, as the Minnesota governor was in Nebraska in May 1989.
While Walz’s attempt to align himself with a significant historical event has backfired spectacularly, it revealed a disturbing willingness to manipulate facts for political gain.
When confronted with the truth, Walz’s response was nothing short of inadequate. He admitted to “misspeaking” and getting “caught up in rhetoric,” a weak attempt to downplay his deliberate fabrication.
Walz has been caught making misleading statements about his family’s infertility treatment, downplaying a 1995 arrest for drunk driving, and even exaggerating his rank in the National Guard.
Moreover, the most concerning issue is Walz’s deep ties to China, which he has repeatedly tried to inflate.
He initially claimed to have traveled to China more than 30 times, only for his campaign to later admit the number was closer to 15.
Republicans have criticized Walz for his suspicious interest in the communist country, including his teaching stint there, his honeymoon location, and his numerous trips with American exchange students.
In addition, the Tiananmen Square lie is more than just a simple misstatement. It was a calculated attempt to manufacture credibility on foreign policy issues, which exploited the memories of those who actually suffered under communist oppression.
Walz’s willingness to appropriate such a tragic event for political gain is not only dishonest but deeply disrespectful to the victims of the massacre.
