(RightIsRight.co) – When the pandemic began in March 2020, Americans looked to health experts and government officials for guidance on what was happening to our world. Dr. Anthony Fauci, often singled out as the nation’s top infectious disease expert, rose to fame. However, as time went on, many concerned citizens questioned what he was hiding from Americans. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is determined to find out.
According to The Washington Examiner, Senator Paul sent a criminal referral to Attorney General Merrick Garland asking for an investigation into Fauci’s May 11 congressional testimony. The letter, dated Wednesday, July 21, outlines how Fauci repeatedly told Congress the National Institute of Health (NIH) did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, where the novel coronavirus may have originated.
However, the investigation request highlights how an NIH grant provided to the EcoHealth Alliance years ago likely funded gain-of-function research at the exact lab in question, putting Fauci in a tough spot. If this is what it looks like, it means the doctor lied to Congress and could face time in prison.

With this pressure from Paul and other GOP lawmakers, the American people will hopefully get a glimpse of just what went on behind the scenes at Fauci’s desk and what he kept from Americans over the past few months. Only the truth will allow our nation to move forward confidently once again.
